The Wheel on the School - Newbery Medal Winner | Classic Children's Book for Classroom Reading & Family Storytime

After a recent trip to Portugal and seeing the Storks of the Algarve, I started thinking of this book that I had read to my son more than 25+ years ago. I decided to read it again and it was as beautiful as I remembered it. Timeless values, community, culture... this book has it all. I called my son who is now 35 and asked him if he remembered the book. Indeed he did! He told me that he had thought of this book often throughout the years and he recited events in the book. I recommend this book as a long read aloud to any child and a wonderful read for an adult. I passed the book on to my son and he can read it to his children.
